Respite: Live-in Care

What is respite care?

Respite care provides you or your loved one with continuation of care provided at home for shorter periods of time when the usual carer or family member is not available. The main carer may be going on holiday, may be recovering from accident or illness or may simply require a much-needed break. There may be a family emergency or other commitments to attend to.  Respite care can also be used to provide additional short-term specialised support.

At Elite Livein Care, we appreciate the physical and mental demands that can be placed on family members caring for an individual for a long period of time. Respite care can help family members or carers take some time off for themselves.

In those circumstances, Elite carers will ensure that your loved one is still receiving their usual care plan and that their day-to-day requirements are still being met, for however long is required.

Respite care at Elite Livein Care

We understand that choosing a respite live-in care provider is a big decision. At Elite Livein Care you can have every confidence in our skill and professionalism, together with the peace of mind that comes from selecting a CQC-accredited care provider. The Elite team will carry out an expert assessment in order that we can provide our client with the highest quality respite care.

Elite Livein Care provides dedicated respite care where a carer trained in a range of skills including assisted living, nursing care, palliative care (and much else besides) would be living with you in your home to provide support day and night.

What does respite live-in care involve?

Respite care involves in assisting your family member for however long is required in the comfort of their own home. This avoids interfering with their routine or taking them out of familiar surroundings if their regular carer is away, requires a break or is unavailable for a period of time.

At Elite Livein Care we have a range of support packages available for those living with complex needs or dementia with person-centred one-to-one support. Respite care involves having a carer in your home to provide help and support whenever you need it, providing peace of mind that you or your loved ones have someone looking after them.

The services our elite carers provide include, but are not limited to:

  • Personal care and medication support
  • Housekeeping and other daily domestic tasks
  • Ensuring that dietary and nutritional needs are being met
  • Complex care such as PEG feeding or catheter management
  • Companionship and support

Costs for respite live-in care and funding

The cost of respite live-in care is very much dependent on individual needs and circumstances. Live-in care for couples costs only a fraction more than 24-hour care for one person, and there are a number of funding options available to assist with covering the costs.

Please call us today on 0330 1330 235 to find out how we can support you and to receive a personalised quotation. You can also request a call-back.

I have been a client since January 2020. All I can say is the carers, office staff and management are exceptional. The carers are lovely and they are always understanding. The office staff are always polite over the phone, and if I have any issues, they sort it out for me. The management are amazing, they always call in to check on me. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone that needs care.
